Dr. Nissim Yonash
Dr. Yonash Holds a Ph.D. in Genetics with about 15 years of experience in the academia, including as a Research Geneticist (GS11) at the Agriculture Research Service (ARS) of the United State Department of Agriculture (USDA), as a university professor at the University of Connecticut (UCONN), USA and as a Plant Geneticist at the Agriculture Research Organization (ARO), Volcani Center. Dr. Yonash also served as the manager of the Israeli Gene Bank and as the Israeli representative at several European Commission committees.
Dr. Yonash has over than 15 years of experience in the Agriculture industry. He was a member of the R&D management and a global plant breeding activities manager at Hazera Genetics, one of the initiators and management member, and the Director of Genetics & Breeding at NRGene, a successful start-up company established in 2010 (developing cutting-edge computational genomics tools to enhance and improve plant R&D programs), Co-founder and the CEO of Seedwiz, a startup company dealing with digital agriculture as part of the precision agriculture arena.
During the years Dr. Yonash served as consultant in variable companies as NRGene, Taranis, Transalgae, SN2E, urban planter, Seedwiz, Sunnel, Kutash, Philoseed, Algamol and more.
